With the powerful reporting capabilities of HP OpenView Performance Insight for Networks, you’ll have the information you need to make service guarantees with confidence. You can follow up these performance guarantees with tangible documentation of your SLA compliance. integrate fault and performance management

Get the best of both worlds: fault and performance management that are not only compatible with each other but also seamlessly integrate for optimal problem solving. HP OpenView Performance Insight for Networks and HP OpenView Network Node Manager feature a single polling configuration so you don't have to configure your management systems twice. Additionally, HP OpenView Performance Insight for Networks includes threshold monitoring and forwards performance violations directly to HP OpenView Network Node Manager. You can also launch HP OpenView Performance Insight reports from the event browser and network maps within HP OpenView Network Node Manager to see if a problem is new or relates to historical network activity.

HP OpenView Performance Insight for Networks delivers reports on your terms. The easily customized reports can be provisioned to break out data by customer or internal department. Further, login security can limit the information, such as specific customer data or department data, that a user can see. Here’s a quick look at the specific reports generated by HP OpenView Performance Insight for Networks:

• The Executive Summary report gives an overall view of a group of elements. It shows volume and other important metrics for the technology being viewed.

• The Capacity Planning report provides a view of under- and over-utilized elements. This information helps you balance loads and avoid costs by removing the need to purchase new resources.

• The Forecast report focuses on resources that are projected to become over-utilized in 90 days. This gives your administrators time to plan upgrades before bottlenecks affect users.

• The Hot Spot, Quick View and Top Ten reports identify elements of possible concern by exceptions, degree of change and other criteria.

• The Service Level report shows the elements with the worst availability and worst response time—the two leading metrics used in SLAs.
